BATHROOM HELP!: App and UX

This project was a Team challenge to create an app that was helpful and original. I collaborated with Liz Harman, Noey Tantanatipchai, and Meghan Wadleigh to complete this app. We began with a need, Public Restrooms. Originally it was going to be an app to call for help or ask for toilet paper, but once we began researching we realized that lack of functional public restrooms is a real issue all over the country and the world.  We then decided to change or direction and make it a restroom rated app, where you could add restrooms you think are friendly to the public and the amenities each one has, as well and a clean rating. Then, if you participate in rating or adding restrooms, you would gain points and badges, to make it a game so people would participate.  We also used this as an opportunity to educate people on the real lack of restrooms and how they can donate and help stop disease, and better the lives of areas that have no proper swage systems or restrooms. We created the app, a startup business plan, promotional video, and a poster for this project.

Then, if you chose to participate in rating or adding restrooms, you would be able to gain points and badges, making the app intoto make it a game so people would be motivated to participate.  We also used this project as an opportunity to educate people on the real lack of available restrooms, and provided information regarding and how people can donate to help stop disease and better the lives of those who live in areas that have no proper sewage systems or restrooms. We created the app, a startup business plan, promotional video, and a poster for this project.
